THE PROFILE:

Reporting to the CEO and with the desire to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and make a real difference, the ideal candidate, combining up-to-the-minute fashion expertise with market insight and in-depth analysis, must maximize both local and online sales via effective product and stock management.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the buying team with proactive product sourcing, developing and executing a strategy for new brand acquisitions and identifying opportunities for growth with existing partners
• Regularly review brand and category performance, compiling reports identifying bestsellers and slow-selling/under-performing lines and taking action to maximize seasonal results
• Undertake in-season tactical actions to ensure department hits KPI’s before and after sales
• Develop existing and new relationships with suppliers and key industry stakeholders, creating and consolidating opportunities for growth and marketing support
• Support visual merchandising, monitoring the site to ensure products are presented in the best way possible, reporting any inaccuracies in price or information
• Present seasonal delivery forecasts to the commercial and marketing team
• Act as a brand ambassador, representing and negotiating for the company at key appointments, shows and trade fairs
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitor activity and strategy

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree educated, preferably in Business and/or Economics
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a fashion buyer, stylist and/or merchandiser, ideally within an online multibrand environment
• Results driven and motivated by objectives and KPI's
• A creative yet analytical approach to buying, with the ability to think outside the box
• Commercial awareness: understanding of the luxury goods’ business, products and competition
• A flexible approach, with the ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Proactivity, Problem solving skills, “Can –do” attitude
• Fluent both in English and Italian
